How can I transfer money into Openbank from a bank account at another financial institution?

You'll need to link your external account to your Openbank account. The process is easy:

1. Sign in to Openbank on the app on your trusted mobile device. You can also sign in at openbank.us. 
2. Select the red Move money in button, and then Link an external account. 
3. Follow the prompts to add information about your external account. Be ready to share:
   • Your external account number 
   • Your external bank’s routing number
   • The type of account you’re linking (e.g. checking, savings, etc.) 
4. Once we verify this information, you’ll be ready to make a transfer. 
5. Select Move money in, and then select this external account as the “From” account. 
6. Enter the amount you want to transfer and the transfer date. 
7. Review your transfer details and then submit the transfer. 

Transfers from external accounts typically take 1-3 days to process. Please note that if you’re transferring into an Openbank High Yield Savings account, you’ll start earning interest on the business day we receive your transferred funds.
